Draft Corporate Plan 2019 - 2023

Closed 28 Jan 2020

Opened 12 Nov 2019

Following the local council elections in May 2019, we have drafted a new corporate plan that will set the strategic direction for council and guide our work over the next four years.

The corporate plan is an important planning document, as it outlines what we want to achieve for the city and describes the key priorities and actions that we will take.  This plan helps us to ensure that we continue to deliver excellent and efficient services that the people of Belfast expect and to provide the leadership needed to improve the lives of everyone in Belfast.

Closely aligned to the Belfast Agenda, the city's community plan which sets out a long-term vision and ambition for Belfast, our plan sets out what we will do to help achieve this.

Why we are consulting

We use this plan, and the priorities set out within in it, to manage our finances and set your local rates.  Therefore, it is critical that we get this right and that we focus our efforts on what matters most to local people and the city.

Whilst we believe that our corporate plan reflects what people in Belfast have told us they want for the city, we want to give local people and our partners an opportunity to have a say and to influence the final plan.

Please tell us your views by completing our online survey.

What happens next

This consultation is now closed.  Thank you to all who responded.

We will being a feedback report to the Strategic Policy & Resources Committee, along with an updated corporate plan for approval, by April 2020.  After Council ratification, the finalised corporate plan will be available for download on the council website.
