The Belfast Agenda, the city’s first community plan, sets out a long-term vision for Belfast up to 2035 and one of our commitments in the Belfast Agenda is to create an inclusive economy. To help support this aim, Belfast City Council has developed a draft Inclusive Growth Strategy. (You can download the draft Inclusive Growth Strategy here or by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.)
It is essential that everyone across the city benefits from economic growth. We refer to this as inclusive growth and have committed to a number of actions to make this happen for Belfast. The draft Inclusive Growth Strategy looks at what we are going to do as an organisation and in collaboration with others, to create a truly inclusive city.
At the heart of these commitments is the belief that public sector organisations, business, the voluntary and community sector and local people across the city must work towards a common vision to bring opportunity for everyone.
It is vital that the voices of citizens and communities shape our commitments and approach.
We need your help to ensure that we have understood the challenges facing local people and that our commitments and actions will make a difference to people's lives.
We also want to hear from our business, community and statutory partners. as only by working together can we deliver the vision of inclusive growth.
You can get involved by completing the online survey or by calling into one of the information and engagement sessions being held across the city. Council officers will be available at these informal drop-in sessions to answer any questions and to take your feedback.
