Belfast City Council supported by SEUPB's Peace IV Shared Spaces and Services Theme is creating a network of connected and welcoming open spaces in North & West Belfast.
Please see map below showing the route
The PEACE IV Programme aims to help create new shared civic spaces for use by all sections of the community; this could involve changes in both attitudes and behaviour with corresponding reduction in segregation. The spaces identified have the potential to become shared amenity spaces where communities can share and join together in new positive leisure activities in a quality environment. For the purposes of this project it has been divided into the following sections:
The completed scheme will deliver a “necklace” of high quality, safe, shared spaces and Greenway networks, enhancing linkages between communities and promoting sustainable transport opportunities
Section 2 of the route runs from Ballygomartin Road to Springfield Road.
We would like to hear your views on the detailed designs for Section 2 of the route running from Ballygomartin Road to Springfield Road.
Please see the detailed design below for Section 2
We would also like to hear your views on what type of events you would like to see taking place along the route.
Once the consultation has closed we will analyse all responses to this survey which will inform the detailed designs to be submitted to Planning. In addition information provided in relation to suggested events will be used to help with programming events in the new spaces.
